Kernan and Callie

sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!

Ok, I know you've all been waiting for this post! ;) I've been slacking on it sorry!
Kernan has a girlfriend!
Here's the story! Since the first time Kernan saw Callie he has been in love! And I'm not just making this up, he is seriously OBSESSED!! The first time he saw her I was holding Callie and he came up and wanted to hold her, so Natalie washed his hands. In the meantime Heidi was waiting for her turn to hold her so I said, "Sorry, he will only be like a second, that's all he will last." So he came over and I said, "You want to hold Callie?" and he said "Ya!" so I told him to get on the couch and he ran over got up and put his hands out going, "Mine, Mine, Mine!!" It was so cute!! And he seriously held her for like two minutes! I kept asking him if he was done and wanted me to take her and he kept saying "No, mine!" It was adorable! Poor Heidi had to wait longer then a second!! :)
Natalie snapped this picture for me... Look at his face!
Photobucket
He's been obsessed ever since!! He would point to Jason and Natalie's house and say "CA-CA" (that's what he calls her) and when they would be at our house and go to leave he would cry, still does! He always wants to hold her and doesn't care if she's crying or not, he gets mad when we take her from him!
When Natalie came over when Callie was a week old to take some pictures, Kernan didn't want to play with Kolsen he was right in the middle of what we were doing with Callie and just kept giggling and pointing at her! He is smitten! So we deiced to snap a few pictures with the two of them... Here are a couple from that day...

Photobucket
Can't you see the LOVE in his eyes!?!

Anyway, I wanted to get him a shirt made about her because he is so funny about her and I love "saying" shirts! So I bought a shirt and took it to a local store here and got one made, here is what it looks like...

On the front it says "I'm OBSESSED with Callie!"
Photobucket

And the back says "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like hot like MINE!" haha
Photobucket

So we did a little Photoshoot with the two of them last night, here are some of my favorites!!

Photobucket

Loves to kiss her already!!
Photobucket

Look at the concern because she's crying!!
Photobucket

After that picture I picked her up to get her to calm down and Kernan was SO cute... He took the white blanket and laid it out on the grass (like I had the one under them) then took the boppy Callie had been sitting in and put HIS blanket over it and looked at me and patted his blanket going "CA-CA". He had made a place for her to sit, with his blanky!!
Here she is all snuggy in his blanky!
Photobucket

Then she started crying again, he came running over to see what was wrong...
Photobucket

Then tried to give her the binky...
Photobucket

And while sticking the binky in her mouth he is going "shhh shhh shhh" I wish I had my video camera too! So you could hear him!! It was so cute!!!
Photobucket

So anyway, now you all know about Kernan and the LOVE of his life! And now in 20 years from now when they get married... I can show them all these pictures!!
Hey... Don't laugh! It could happen!! :)

Pinewood Derby...

So we didn't make it to the lake on Monday.. When we went to hook up the trailer we had no lights on it. So we just made the decision that we weren't meant to go that day! So no pictures from the water... Sorry!
But last night was our wards Pinewood Derby! Brian has been in scouts for 4 years now and this was by far the best one we've been apart of! I was asked to take pictures for them so that was my "job" last night! The boys (and Dad's) get so creative with their cars! It's amazing!

The Miller's brought one of their drag car's for all the boys to look at.. They even fired it up!
Photobucket

Kernan loved the drag car!

Brian's Newest Toy...

So this is the newest toy in our house! After 6 years of wanting to get a boat we finally did! It's nothing fancy but it floats! Perfect for a first time boat! It's a 1987 Supra Wakeboard boat, well back then it was a "ski" boat but since neither Brian nor I ski it's our wakeboarding boat!
Brian spent most of the day yesterday in it getting it looking all good for when we go out tomorrow!

Photobucket

We're going to get new vinyl for the side.. Make it look more "modern"...
Photobucket

This is the sticker Brian wants... Sweet huh?!
Photobucket

Photobucket
We're excited for this summer! We will be spending a lot of time out on the lake! If you want to come along give us a call!! I'll have pictures from tomorrow up later this week, if I can find a different camera to use... I'm not taking mine out on the water!! ;)
Happy Memorial Weekend!

Maci's Kindergarten "Celebration"

or Graduation which ever you want to call it! haha! Anywho, it was last night! They sang us a few songs, and that was it! Today is her last day, I can't believe she is going into FIRST grade!!
When they first walked in Kernan wanted his sister!! We were sitting in the front so it was a bit of a fight to keep him away from her the entire time!! He LOVES his sister! I know it's blurry but I LOVE this picture!

Photobucket

Here she is with her buddy Noah...

Singing us their song about "First Grade", it was so cute!
Photobucket

Here is my cute boy...

Photobucket
To explain what he is looking at... For Mother's Day, my wonderful Husband got me my external flash for my camera!Photobucket I have been saving up for it for awhile and was hoping to have enough $$ with birthday money but was about $100 bucks short! So he told me to go ahead and get it for my Mother's Day gift!! I love it so far! It'll come in really handy when I do my cousins wedding in a couple of weeks! Anyway, that's what he is looking up at in this picture... It cracks me up!! I love that boy!!
More pictures in the next couple days! I'm off to Maci's picnic at school and then she is out for the summer... Here comes the "I'm bored" comments! My Mom and I put our kids in a summer thing so hopefully she won't be too bored!!

Our Cheerleader!

Last night Maci had her cheer "performance" it was a lot different from last years, but I just was not happy with the company we went through last year! This one was much cheaper and she learned a lot more!! So last night was their last practice and so it is where they show all the parents what they have learned...

Here she is with one of her bestest friends who did Cheer with her... Tatum!

In action...

Sweet Baby Chandler

So not very many know that I signed up to be a volunteer photographer for a non-profit organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep it's an organization made up of volunteer photographers that go to hospitals and take pictures of babies either early trimester still born, full term still born (like Broc), babies that didn't live long after delivery or children that are going to be taken off life support, and anywhere in between. It took me awhile to decide for sure to sign up, but I think it was the right choice. I can relate well with the families and I cherish the pictures that were taken of Broc. Though they were not taken by this organization, I am so thankful to who ever took them!
So last Tuesday I got my first call, a week after Broc's day! A nurse from Thunderbird called and asked if I was available to come down ASAP to photograph a baby, I said yes and asked what the situation was so I knew what I was walking into.
Now it's crazy how the Lord works...
The story of this family is similar to ours. The Mom was 37 weeks pregnant and woke up not felling Baby Chandler moving, she went into the doctor and was told there was no heartbeat! Oh, how I remember that feeling!
Well Dad is in the Navy and was on a submarine so they wanted him home before she delivered. Which meant 5 days later... Can you imagine knowing your child inside you was gone and you just had to wait! It's amazing how I was thankful for my trial!! Broc was perfect in every way! This baby had been deceased for 5 days! I won't go into detail but this poor baby wasn't in the best of shape! So I arrived and took pictures of sweet Chandler. The parents didn't want to be in them so it is just him.

This is Mom's wedding ring, we couldn't get Dad's off...

Thanks to Mom for watching Kernan so I could go do this. I was worried I was going to loose it but I actually drove away from the hospital with a sense of peace, knowing that what I just did was the right thing! And knowing that I just gave that family something they will cherish forever! A special Thanks to Melanie for helping me edit these, getting him to look perfect! For more information about Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep visit their website at www.nilmdts.org it is a great thing and I'm so thankful to be involved in it!

Little Bit of This & A Little Bit of That...

Where does the time go?!

First of all, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone that commented on my last post about our Sweet Broc! He is such a blessing in our lives and your comments really mean a lot! Whenever I'm having one of "those"days, I'm going to go to that post and read your comments and it'll give me a good boost! So Thank You again!!

Next, we've had a busy couple of weeks! Just busy with life! I don't really have many pictures to explain what we've been up to... Just busy!

I do have some pictures of a not so wonderful thing!!
First the story to lead into them...
Yesterday as I was going to do Maci's hair for school I noticed that she had some short hairs right up front that were a little to perfectly straight to be "wispies"! I asked her if she cut her hair and she just looked at me and slowly shook her head up and down!!! I have not had the best of weeks this week so this just added to it! I calmly told her to go to her room!!! Called Brian and he said... "Put her on the phone!!" so they had a nice talk and we decided she would be grounded from playing outside. We also found out she did it because Jeremy (a kid in her class) cut his first!! They had a sub on Wednesday, amazing what they do without their normal teacher!!! So I took her to school, I needed the break from her for sure!! I got in the car after dropping her off and called my Mom to tell her that she was lucky her Granddaughter didn't have serious injuries!! I mean come on she is
6 not 2!! Anyway, she suggested that her punishment should be to cut her hair off! I mean keeping her in the house is more punishment to us for sure!! Plus, Maci wants her hair to be down to her butt, so cutting it off would get the point across! So after school I took her to Heather and got her hair cut to her shoulders! She was so upset! I told her that is what she got... If she wanted to cut her hair, we'd cut it!!! Don't worry I took pictures!! ;) The first ones of the "before" shots look more like mug shots, but good! This wasn't supposed to be a happy thing!!

Do you see the damage right there in the front... I still can't believe she did that!
Photobucket

This is how long it was, pretty close to where she's wanted it!!!
Photobucket

And her is the after picture when we got home! I asked for a smile for this one! Although while she was getting her hair cut I kept asking if she was happy with how short it was getting and she said "No"! Good, I think we made our point! I told her if she ever cut her hair again, I'd shave it bald!!
Photobucket

Here it is this morning... See how short we went!! I wasn't kidding!!
Photobucket

Here she is before school today! Don't tell her but I think it's cute and something different! Plus it looks so much healthier!! We just have to clip the front down until it grows out enough to lay flat!
Photobucket

Alright that's it for now, sorry for the novel! Check out the other post I did this morning right below this, and I promise I'll post more soon!! Happy Friday!!

Baby Photo Share...

I have a LOT of catching up to do!! With all the babies I've been snapping pictures of lately!

First is our "ca ca" as Kernan calls her but the rest of us call her Callie.
Jason and Natalie's sweet baby girl. I took some pictures of her when she was about a week old, she's now 5 weeks so she's changed a LOT!

Photobucket

Photobucket

She is also known as Kernan's girlfriend!! But I'll explain all about that in another post next week!! Trust me it deserves it's own post! :D

Then I borrowed Shawna and Eric's baby a few weeks ago and snapped some pictures of her while I had her!
Here is Baby Jade ~ 6 weeks old

Photobucket

I love this because we took pictures of her Mom's belly with these same blocks! See this post...

Photobucket

Next, I took pictures of little Juilan for his baby announcements I made for a friend of mine. There are so many cute ones so I posted them on my Photography blog! Check them out!

Gosh, I've been in baby heaven!
