Happy Halloween Everyone!!

We're getting so excited around here!! Just putting the finishing touches on the kids costumes and we're off to my Grandma's house for some Trick-or-Treating!!

HSM 3, Livestock Festival, and Groomer gone WRONG!

I have a few things to update everyone on... So I thought I'd do one post...

High School Musical 3

After my cousin opened his mission call Friday, his Mom and sisters as well as Maci and I took off for the movie theater to see HSM3... Loved it!!



It was so cute and very well done! We were so excited to see it!!
Can't you see the excitement on Maci's face?? Goof Ball!


Livestock Festival

On Saturday they were bringing the sheep from off the mountain down into their winter fields. They take them down Main street and make a "parade" out of it! So we decided to go down and watch. It was been so beautiful here that we try to take advantage of it!
I loved this old tractor...


And this old truck was cool!


Then the main attraction... There were so many sheep and they just walked right down the road so well!


The only brown one...





Then we went over and watched the sheep herding dogs... If I didn't have my kids with me (and my husband, he was bored of the dogs) I would have stayed longer! I thought it was neat but the rest didn't so we left...


Now... Groomer Gone WRONG!!

We took Bruno to the groomer today, we usually take him like every other month for a good bath and brush. He has a bad shedding problem so Brian wanted to shave him this time. Just to get rid of the hair all together. I wasn't to keen on the idea but last time I took him and didn't do it he got upset with me so I said go ahead... Even though the groomer told me he'd be a different color because his undercoat was so light... I thought well Brian will be upset if I don't do it, plus, it's just hair it'll grow back!
So we both went and picked him up this afternoon and I couldn't believe what he looked like!! I almost peed my pants!! Look for yourselves....



We own a skunk!! Poor dog!! I feel so bad for him! So Brian thought he looked so ridiculous that he wanted to buy black hair dye and dye it back!


So we attempted it!


It didn't work so we still own a skunk!! Poor dog!! Does anyone want to send him a sweater?! Not only does he need it to cover up how silly he looks, but it's going to get cold and this poor dog has no hair!! :( Poor Bruno!


We're getting so excited for Halloween!! Brian and I have made both kids costumes this year! That's a first ever!! You'll have to wait a few days to see how cute they are!! I'm so excited for them!!

Elder Obering

My cousin Logan received his mission call for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints today! So we all gathered at their house to watch him open it and listen to where he's been called!! We had my family on the webcam and had a slight malfunction... Why does it never work when you need it too?!?! So I've edited the video that we took to show the important part so that they can see and hear for themselves!! And anyone else who wants to watch! It was so exciting to be here and hear it, I've never been anywhere when someone has opened and read their mission call!!! So exciting!!!

Camping Trip to "Purple Mountains"

Last weekend the kids had Thursday, Friday and Monday off so we went camping! We went out to the same place we went riding back in June. The weather was perfect! Not to hot and not to cold!!

The view as we sit and watch everyone ride...


These two, on the quad again! They we're getting a little too comfortable for their own good!!


No, that's not water in the bottle.. It's dirt! It's all about the dirt when you're a boy! :)


We went exploring while out there to Fort Pearce. It's where the pioneers would sit up on the hill and wait for the Indians to come... And then they would fight. Or something along those lines... :)

I took some scenic pictures while exploring. We live in some of the prettiest parts of the country!








Maci has mastered the quad all by herself!! She rode up and down the hills having so much fun!! But again she was a little to comfortable!! :) For us Parents anyway!
Anyone need any ideas for her for Christmas.. She wants a quad! ;)

This picture has nothing to do with camping really... This "shoe" tree we pass every time we go down to my Grandparents house.. I've always wanted to get a picture of it and remembered just in time on our way home! One of these day's we're going to add a pair up there!!


Hope you're having a great week!! Maci and I are so excited for tomorrow!! We're having a girls day and going to see High School Musical 3! We've been counting down for the past 3 days! Well actually weeks but now it's so close we count down every night! :)
Oh ya, and the picture at the top is us standing in front of our new home town... Isn't it pretty?!?

What happened in VEGAS was all a Surprise!!

I know that's kind of a silly title but OH SO TRUE!!

Brian and my Uncle Matt had been planning a "guys" trip for about a month and a half to go down to Vegas and watch the U.S. Open Motocross Race. So my Aunt and I decided that we'd see if my Grandma could keep an eye on the kids and we'd head down there and do some shopping! While talking to my Mom we figured out that her kids wouldn't have school the Monday and Tuesday of that same weekend! So planning began... My Dad couldn't get coverage for work to be able to come up here :( so instead they just met us in Vegas!!
Here comes the Surprise part... Neither Maci or Jaxin and Stockton had a CLUE!! It was so fun! We told Maci that we were going down there to pick up my new car... another story hopefully we'll be going there sometime this week to get my new VW Golf, we sold my suburban... Back on Track... Jaxin and Stockton, I'm told, got every story in the book from my Dad and Kolby the whole way there!!

So we got to the hotel first, we were hanging out in the room waiting. We have the funniest video of Maci... I wanted to catch them on camera so I was asking Maci why we were in Vegas... She answered, "To get your new car.." or so she thought!! Kolby called when they were down the hall and Brian pushed record on the video camera... I should have grabbed my camera but I didn't!

Maci opened the door and Kolby was there, she looked at him and said "Hello" and then when she saw Jaxin and Stockton behind him she was shocked! And so were they!! It was so fun! And we couldn't believe that we actually pulled it off! I gave it away at least 10 times, Brian about blew it on the drive down there!! But we did it!! It was so fun and we were all so glad to see eachother!!
Kernan fell asleep like 15 mins before they got to the room! So when he woke up the next morning, he was in bed with Kolby, cute story about that down a bit in this post. But when we took him into my parents room he just looked around for a minute like, "how did you all get here" and then he got down and was excited they were all there! Showed Grandpa how he can "shish", we brought down his play pole... It was cute!
Saturday we woke up and got breakfast then went and did some shopping...

These are the alligators in our hotel.. We stayed at "The Orleans" it's a nice hotel! But not kid friendly.. Then again, Las Vegas isn't kid friendly!!

Saturday night we made Brian and Matt's "guys night" a FAMILY night!! We all went to the Motocross race! It ended up being my ENTIRE family! Us, my parents, Matt's family, my Grandparents and my Uncle Jeff's family! 24 of us in all!!

Kernan loved every minute!! He would stand up on our lap for the beginning of every race, it went until 11 (Nevada time, that's 12 Utah time!) So by the time the main event race started he was out! Which was his nap, because he stayed up until 1:15 (that's 2:15 UT time) playing with his Dad and Uncle Kolby and their new toy helicopter! Boys!! :)







The next morning we went down to the strip. I really wanted the girls to see the water show out in front of the Bellagio. I think that's my favorite hotel, I've never stayed there... Hopefully one day!

On the way there we parked at the MGM Grand and got to see the Lions come out... They are so cool!!

These next few pictures are so cute!! Kolby and Kernan just love each other!!
When Kernan woke up Saturday morning I thought he would freak out with Kolby being in bed with him... He wasn't there when he went to sleep...
Nope, Kolby was woken up by Kernan rubbing his face and then he gave him the biggest hug! I was awoken to Kernan laughing because the two of them were playing!

But this one is my favorite!!



We had such a good time with my family! Only a little over a month and we'll see them again for Thanksgiving!! And everyone else in Arizona we're missing!!
