Mom, Do I look taller?

This is the question I just got asked by Maci...
I said, "Why, because your pants are highwaters?"
(yes she could use some new pants;)
And she said...
"NO, because last night my leg hurt because it was growing. So do I look taller?"
haha!! :D

Her leg was hurting last night as she was going to bed, so I got the heating pad and told her it was probably growing pains and the heating pad would help!! What a kid!!
I love this little girl!!

I'm a BIG KID now!

That's right!! We've been diaper FREE for 5 days now!! It is seriously still a shock to us!

Photobucket

He hasn't been interested in the potty what-so-ever!! But last Sunday he came up to me and told me he was stinky, so I went to change him and he wasn't... So I asked him if he wanted to go on the potty, and instead of saying "NO" which is his normal answer, he said OK! So we went and set him on the potty, and after a few minutes I heard a "plop" and he looked at me and said "I did it!" I was seriously in shock!! So we pursued it threw the week, he'd do so good going poo, but we'd sit him on the potty for awhile he wouldn't go so I'd put him down and put undies on him and he'd pee within 2-3 minutes! I was getting so flustered! So on Thursday I decided I was going to go "cold turkey" no more diapers! I went and bought him a little potty seat to set out in front of the TV, I know it's bad but the kid loves his cartoons! But again, he'd pee in his underwear, so I just let him go naked!! Well, he did awesome!! We haven't had a pee accident since!! We've been giving him stickers for every time he goes, as of Thursday morning he had 2 stickers... By the end of the day on Thursday he had 18!! We even went out to pick up Maci from school and run to the craft store and he didn't have an accident!! :D

Photobucket

Now, I have the theory that if you go from diapers to underwear and back it gives them mixed signals, that's why we went to underwear and nothing else, not even pull-ups. Sorry to those that use pull-ups I just feel that they are diapers that are harder to clean up when they go in them and more expensive, so what's the point of getting out of diapers?! Just my theory.. So even at night he's been in underwear. Thank heavens for the plastic sheet!! :) He had accidents every night but last night!! He woke up DRY! So less then a week since I've completely dedicated us to this he's completely potty trained!!

We use books for those poop's that just don't come fast enough... ;)
Photobucket

I called my Mom yesterday to tell her that I can "officially" say my son is potty trained...
I was in the kids room yesterday morning picking up and all the sudden I heard the toilet flush. It was only Kernan and I home at the time, so I went in and he had the "bucket" part of his little potty in his hands and he had flushed the pee down the potty all on his own... No need for help from me!! He is also over the "celebration" after he goes each time! At first he'd go and we'd high five, give rock, go flush the pee gone and get a sticker.... He doesn't even care about a sticker anymore! Yep, he's potty trained!!
Here are his stickers as of this afternoon... He had so many we had to get a second paper!!

Photobucket

He is getting so big so fast!! Proof is in this picture, not the best expression on his face but doesn't he just look 10 years old?! :(

Photobucket

I'm so glad we don't have to spend the money on diapers anymore!! Oh Happy Day!!
He's such a big boy!!

Dada's Pants...

While we were in Arizona over Christmas I had the opportunity to take pictures of Kernan in a pair of Jeans Brian wore when he was Kernan's age!

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite picture of the whole "shoot"!
One of my favorite pictures of Brian when he was Kernan's age is him in these jeans without his shirt on... So I was trying to get as close to that as I could... The picture of Brian is in storage so I can't show it to you right now, but I think I got close!
I gave this picture a "vintage" look, oh I **love** it!!
It'll hang up HUGE in my house!!
Photobucket

I was a bit worried because this is how the shoot started...
Photobucket

Can you say... TWO!!
Photobucket

Then it got better... Love this pic, blurry, but love it!!
Photobucket

So after I realized he wasn't going to just sit and pose we went down to the green belt behind my parents house... We were running around the grass looking for "ho-ho" trees!
Hey, whatever works! :D
Here we are looking for the "Ho-Ho" trees!
Photobucket

Running to get to them... I love the action shots! If you look at them in iPhoto it's funny to see him totally swinging his arms and the concentration in his face as you go from picture to picture!! So sweet!
Photobucket

Love the expression on his face... "I'm a big shot!"

These pictures cracked me up! This is what he does when he says "ha-ha"!

Next we added Dada's jacket, he wore this in Kindergarten so it is still a bit big, but so cute for him to be wearing his Dada's pants and jacket!!

I love this picture as well... This is Daddy and Kernan's "song"... It has been since Kernan was just a few months old...
Photobucket

And finally here is a picture of just the jeans... I'm going to put the picture of Brian, this picture, and the picture of Kernan in a frame together... I'm excited!
Photobucket

Nothing else new and exciting is going on... I have a few watch bands I need to add to my etsy shop, my camera is in Brian's truck so as soon as he gets home I can take pictures and add them. So check it out later!! Hope everyone is enjoying their week!!

It's been 2 weeks!!

I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since I've posted!! I've been a busy gal! I left last Wednesday to go back down to Arizona. This trip was just Kernan and I... We just got home Tuesday.. I had a training seminar for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep it was amazing! But we went down a couple days early so my Mom and I could work on Kernan's bed spread... It turned out so good! I love it!
Here is a quick picture of it on his bed...
Photobucket
It is basketball jersey material on the front and basketball print fleece on the back! I love it, it's just how I pictured!! Thanks Mom!!
Funny story about this... We got Kernan's fleece and a smaller piece cut to make a blanket for Stockton. That night Stockton wanted to sleep with the fleece piece even though it wasn't done... So of course Kernan wanted to as well. So I told Stockton I'd give him the bigger piece and Kernan could use his smaller cut, so I handed the smaller piece to Kernan and he goes.. "No, it not mine, it boys (that's what he calls Stockton)" and so I handed him his piece and he goes "There it is, that mine!"
No idea how he knew that but we thought it was so funny and cute! He has been a character lately and is SO 2!! He's gotten an attitude all of the sudden!! I just keep telling myself, it's a good thing he's cute, and he will out grow this stage!!! :)

My seminar was on Saturday... It went for 5 hours and was supposed to go longer but Sandy Puc' skipped all the breaks so we got out earlier.. It said 5:30 to Midnight!! Thankfully we were out of there at 10:15 :) They showed the most amazing video at the very end... I of course was in tears! I don't think there was one person who didn't cry at least once the entire seminar! If you're a photographer I strongly encourage you to join this cause!! Of course it is very close to my heart because of Broc! But it is just an amazing thing these ladies started! And I'm so proud to be a part of it!!
Here is the video... It's about 9 minutes but so good and worth it! If anything skip to about the 5:13 mark and watch the last bit... I suggest grabbing a tissue!

Then on Monday my Mom and I went and walked the tradeshow for Imaging USA. Lots of fun things out there for photography!! My wonderful Mom bought me Totally Rad Actions! I'm so excited to start playing around with them!

But I've been busy putting together an etsy site... So I haven't gotten to play yet. Up here in UT these watches are a big thing!! I love them but didn't want to buy one so my Mom and I made ourselves one... Well I thought that everyone in AZ would love them too so I'm going to start making and selling them! I'm also starting to sell Photo Jewelery, I made a few things for my brother for Christmas and I loved how they turned out! They're so fun!! Check it out here...
My Etsy Shop: Picture Time!

Here are a couple examples as well...
This is the watch I made for myself... :)

This is my brother's tie tac I made for him...

Anywho, that's whats been going on!! I have another couple posts I want to do... So it won't be a couple weeks again! Promise!! Have a good Thursday night! :)

The Train Depot.... ALL ABOARD!!

First a quick story about Kernan and his LOVE for trains... Saturday after Christmas my brother Stockton got out his geotrax train for Kernan to play with... He set it up for him at about 9:30am and Kernan did not leave the front room until 1pm!! And only because he was hungry! He had to eat lunch in by the choo choo... At 1:30 I put him down for a nap, he had to take the train with him!! He woke up and went right back to it! He seriously only left that room maybe 5 times all day!! It was so cute, but being the bad Mom I am (hehe) I didn't take one picture the entire time of him playing with it!! I'm so sad about that! Another funny story... We ran errands all day Monday and when we finally got back home and pulled into my parents driveway, Kernan goes "choo choo yes"!! It was the cutest thing. He also went up Tuesday morning and woke Stockton up so that he could come help him set up the track again... Stockton came down and sat on the couch and Kernan went and pulled him up (or tried) and told him "no couch"! LOL!! This boy LOVES trains!! It's totally the thing to love at his age!

Last weekend we got to go ride a train!! Brian's Dad has a customer that comes into his hardware store that works out at a train depot place just west of Waterworld at 49th Ave and Pinnacle Peak. He told Paul that if we all wanted to come out he'd give us a personal tour and free ride!! Well with the LOVE his little Grandson's (as well as himself) have for Trains... We couldn't pass it up! I'm so glad we were in town!!

Here is Kernan standing by our engine... Getting ready to board!!

Maci is ready!!
Photobucket

ALL ABOARD!!
Photobucket

The place was really cool!! It had a bunch of stuff around each track that made it feel more "real"... The place is basically a guy's love of trains taken to a new level!!! They took their love and made it to a scale for people to enjoy!!
Photobucket

Trevor enjoyed it!!
Photobucket

As did Kernan!!
Photobucket

We rode around once and then went back to the station to pick up Brian's Aunt Nancy, Uncle Mark and family... When we pulled into the station the recording was going over the "rules" for the other people in the next train leaving... We listened, we basically broke every rule they said! I guess that's the plus of being a guest of someone who works there!! hehe!

On our second trip (there are 5 different tracks, 180 acres of land!) we stopped at the train museum they have there... They have a house all set up with 5 different trains going... Kernan was in heaven!! He didn't want to leave it! Not even to get back on the big train and ride! He kept saying "no bye-bye!! I want choo choo!"

We got him back on (crying but on) and rode again...
Here are some of the passengers.. Look at Christtina's cute prego belly!! Oh and can you see Kernan waving to me? So cute!!

Maci at the video camera... You don't want to watch what she recorded... It could make you sick!! :)
Photobucket

We had such a fun time at the train station... Kernan totally cried when we put him in the car to go home... He did not want to leave!! Lisa bought the boys a shirt that says "I rode the train" he slept in it and didn't want to change it the next morning!! He's so funny!!

Hope you're beginning of 2009 has been good... We drove home yesterday, so we're back in snow land... Thankfully a lot of it has melted! :) I'm headed back down to AZ on Wednesday for a Photography conference. It's a good thing I like to travel and my kids are good in the car, huh?!? ;)
Happy 2009!!
