Where were you when the world stopped turning?

I just wanted to take a moment to honor all the people that were effected by what happened 6 years ago! My family wasn't personally effected by it but the entire country was! I'll never forget where I was! I had just gotten in my car from early morning semionary (a church class) and was on my way to school when I heard it over the radio. I didn't really grasp it until I walked into my first class and saw it on the news! I'll never forget that day and just wanted to take a moment from my busy day today to reflect on it! We should all kiss our loved ones tonight! You never know! Feel free to leave a comment and tell me where you were and how you remember hearing about it! I love to hear everyones stories from big events like this! Hope you have a great day!

In Remembrance!
My favorite song remembering that day:

I was in bed and Sean was with me. He was like 2 at the time. And I remember that he had woken up earlier than I wanted, so I'd brought him into bed with me. He started playing with my clock radio, turning it on. And for about 5 brief seconds, I heard about the twin towers and all. I immediately rushed out into the living room and turned on the TV, then sat transfixed, eyes glued to the tube for the next four hours watching the destruction. I saw the second plane hit on live TV. It was awful. Luckily, I don't know anyone personally who died there.

But the songs and stories and videos and pictures really get to me each and every year. When I get to a point that it does NOT get to me, I'll be disappointed in myself. Those poor people deserve our respect and recognition. I hope they make it a national holiday soon.

I know this is late! My dad was on his way to the Pentagon when it was hit :( We're all so lucky that he didn't leave a little earlier. I learned of tragedy as I was in my car rushing to work. My cell phone stopped working and I turned on the radio. That was a crazy day.
