Our Beloved Prophet...

OK, so first off... Last nights episode of LOST was so good! How I love that show!!

So with the passing of President Hinckley there has been a lot of quotes and videos and thoughts I've read about him. He truly touched so many places and people! His funeral is tomorrow at 11mst and it will be broadcasted by satellite to 6,ooo Stake Centers and in 69 different languages! Talk about a man who has touched people ALL over the world! It will also be broadcasted on the BYU channel on digital cable, for those of you who don't have it or want someone to watch it with you are MORE then welcome to come over here!
Here is a video that really touched me and had me in tears!

Also, when Maci woke up on Monday I had to tell her the news, her response is so sweet! She came and got in bed with me and I rolled over and told her that last night after she went to bed we found out that President Hinckley had died. And she looked at me and said, "So does that mean that when we don't have church and we watch it on TV that he isn't going to be on TV?" and I said, "Ya honey that is what that means." and she got really sad and said "But I'm going to miss him SO much!" I then explained that he loved his wife more then any man I've ever seen and known and he is now with her again and she said "Well that is good Mom but I'm still going to miss him!" Oh I love kids! I love that I've taught her to love our prophets and follow them!
Another quote that I hadn't heard but gives me goose bumps every time I read it is,

You were generals in the War in Heaven and one day when you are in the spirit world, you will be enthralled by those you are associated with. You will ask someone in which time period they lived and you might hear, 'I was with Moses when he parted the Red Sea,' or 'I helped build the pyramids,' or 'I fought with Captain Moroni.' And as you are standing there in amazement, someone will turn to you and ask you which of the prophets' time did you live in? And when you say 'Gordon B. Hinckley' a hush will fall over every hall and corridor in Heaven, and all in attendance will bow at your presence. You were held back six thousand years because you were the most talented, most obedient, most courageous, and most righteous.
Elder Boyd K. Packer

I know this has been on a few other peoples blog but I love it so much!! I wanted to put it in my journal! I hope you all have good weekend and again if anyone wants to watch President Hinckley's funeral over here please do! Happy Friday!

That was a really good video. I think it's the most Trevor has ever watched "t.v". He just watched, they know!

President Packer Refutes "Generals" Rumor — LDS Church News / Additional story
A quotation has been widely circulated, attributed to President Boyd K. Packer or other General Authorities, stating that today's youth were "generals in the war in heaven" and that upon their return to heaven "all in attendance will bow in [their] presence." In a statement published in the 28 April 2001 edition of the LDS Church News, an approved publication of the Church, President Packer said, "I did not make that statement. I do not believe that statement. None of the Brethren made that statement." President Packer sent a letter to mission presidents requesting their help in clarifying this matter among missionaries and members.
