Broc's Day...

About this exact time, 4 years ago... We found out our sweet Baby had passed away without ever taking his first breath...

That was the longest night of my life!
To read more about his story see last years post "3 years ago..." that way I won't have to retype it all! :)
As we go through continuous life trials, I always have to tell myself... You'd rather be having this trial and not be burying a child again! That was the hardest thing we've had to face!

Photobucket

We miss him everyday, as I said in Maci's post, she talks about him almost daily! She got in the car today after school and told me that her class gets to sing "Happy Birthday" to Broc tomorrow! She is so dang cute! Things like that just make me smile! I'm so glad this little boy is in our life! Even though he's not here physically he is here with us everyday spiritually and I'm so grateful for that!
So tomorrow afternoon we'll let our white balloons with blue strings go, and watch the sky, as they make their way to Broc!

Easter...

was TWO weeks ago! Already?!
Man, time flies! I think I've said that a lot in my posts lately! Hopefully the next two years while my brother is on his mission will fly too! Because right now to me, two years sounds like a LOOONG time! :/

Anyway, back to Easter...
Here's what the Easter Bunny brought us...

We then headed over to Brian's Mom and Dad's house...

Christtina and I wanted a picture of our kids together... I took a TON! Here is just one! I'll do an entire post on "out takes" they are hilarious!
This one is adorable though!
Photobucket

Then it was time for another egg hunt... Maci rocked on this one, she found the most eggs!

Brian's parents weren't able to make it to the kids birthday party the day before so they gave them their gifts on Sunday. They gave Maci a baseball, glove and bat. So Brian decided to try and teach her to hit it... Only my girlie daughter learns to hit a ball with a bat in a skirt!! haha! She had fun though, and got a few good hits too!
Photobucket

The little boys played "keep the egg on the spoon". It was so cute! They did a good job!
Look at that concentration!
Photobucket

They would walk back and forth between Phil and Christtina... See Christtina's cute prego belly!? Aww...
Photobucket

These two were LAUGHING as they were on the swing!! It was so cute!
Photobucket

So I think it's safe to say we had a good Easter!! The kids loved the egg hunts! And the weather was perfect!! Well, two weeks late but there was our Easter!
Hope you had a good weekend!! And have a good week!!

Congrats Bub!
We love you and are so proud of the example you're setting!!

PS- Check out the post under this for pictures from Maci's Day!! :)

Maci's Day!

Maci had a good day today! I took pictures through out the day like I did with Kernan... It was fun! So here is a recap of our day...
All week she's been the "Star of the Week" at school, here's her poster we made for her to take in...
Photobucket

Closer view... I was pretty proud of how it turned out! :D
Photobucket

We went from Wall E to Hannah... We decorated and had everything ready the night before...
Photobucket

Her "new" bike... Brian spray painted a bike we had gotten for free, and I cut out Roxy logos... She has no clue! And LOVES it! haha!
Photobucket

Daddy got us doughnuts again...
Photobucket

Trying out her new bike before school...
Photobucket

7 fingers... Crazy!!
Photobucket

Kernan and I took cupcakes into her class and they all sung to her and asked her questions... Then she got to show them and tell them about her poster...
This picture CrACks me up!!
Photobucket

Yummy...
Photobucket

Then all the kids went to their desks to write Maci a letter for her birthday book... 1st graders are so cute!! Some of the things they wrote to her are adorable!
Photobucket

Here's her cake, it's ok...
Photobucket

We had her favorite for dinner... Spaghetti!
Photobucket

Opening presents... She was very patient today waiting to open them, Brian worked down in Mesquite today so she had to wait until he got home at 7pm!!
Photobucket

I love these next two pictures!
Matt and Rachel gave Maci a Hannah Montana guitar, Kernan loves it!
Here he is dancing to the music! So cute!!

After cake the kids got all ready for bed and then we set up our computer with the speakers to hear where Kolby was going to be called on his mission for our Church.
We were so anxious to hear and sad that we couldn't be there!! One of the cons of living far away! :(
Photobucket

So I think it's safe to say she had a fun day! Hard to believe that next year we'll be planning her baptism!! Dang, that's nuts!!
Thanks for all her Birthday wishes! She read them all when she got home from school!!

My Baby Girl is 7 today!!

I can't believe it's been 7 years since Brian and I became parents!! Time is a funny thing, on one hand it seems like it's gone SO fast! But then on the other hand it feels like we've been parents FOREVER!
We love our little girl... That's not so little anymore!

Freshly welcomed into the world...

Here she is last year on her Birthday... The first year of having to hold up two hands! ;)

Photobucket

And here is our BIG 7 year old!! It's amazing how much she really has changed in the past year...
She looks so to much like a "big" girl and I don't really like it!
Photobucket

This girl is so much fun and such a blessing to our family!! 4 years ago we had to explain to a 3 year old that her little brother, we were all so excited to meet wasn't ever coming home with us... She still talks about him pretty much everyday! She's always telling people she has two brothers. Even when I say that I have two kids, she's quick to say "No, Mom you have 3!"
I love her pure little spirit that reminds us everyday that we have an eternal family!
She is such a good girl, she is awesome in school! She loves reading! I hope she always loves school like she does at this age!

Happy 7th Birthday Maci!!

Mommy and Daddy love you!
