Christtina & the boys ~ Visit #2

I'm sad that their visit has already come and gone... It went by SO fast!
I should start off quickly by saying, I had intended to update my blog with the pictures from Chris and Phil's visit on Tuesday but my Tuesday took an unexpected turn!! To read about that see the post below this one...
And another really quick note: LOTS of pictures in this post! But I'm told that you all don't mind seeing ALL my pictures!! So I hope that is true, cuz you're in for it! I even cut out like 20! Ü
We had a bit of an eventful visit with Phil, Chris and the boys this time around!! They got to our house around 3:30 am! I had left our porch light on because our street is SO dark I knew Chris wouldn't find it without the light, plus it's just the nice thing to do when expecting guests in the middle of the night!! Well my cell phone rings at around 3:30 and it's Chris, she can't find our house... So I get up, Brian was already up, his back was bugging him so he had come out to stretch and went outside, he also turned off the porch light!! Perfect timing, huh?! So I walked out to the middle of the street and directed her to our house! Ü We helped unload their stuff and then we all hit the sack! That Sunday we didn't have regular church meetings, instead we got to watch the dedication of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple via satellite. Well Christtina couldn't get a recommend from our bishop and it wouldn't have been something everyone could be included in, since you had to be 8 years old to go so we decided to go to a couple of the Church History sites in St. George....
First up was Brigham Young's Winter Home.
Photobucket

It is a really pretty home! I love old homes! And the stories that go with it are interesting! But our guide, well he wasn't the best! I was disappointed! I think I'll try again and this time hope for a better guide!
So we went to the next stop... Hoping it would be better...
The Jacob Hamblin Home... This site is SO cool! He was sent to Santa Clara, UT before the pioneers were even sent to settle in St. George! He was there to keep the peace between the Saints and the Indians...

Here's his house... Isn't it awesome?!
Photobucket

It was super neat inside too! It always amazes me how people fit in the old homes!! We are seriously spoiled with our big houses!
This spindle was upstairs where their "family room" is. Maci liked it because it was like the one Sleeping Beauty poked her finger on!
See, she can claim she isn't "into" the Princesses anymore, but deep down she is!! Aww, it makes my heart happy! Ü
Photobucket

Brian was in charge of the camera at this house... Can't you tell?! Goofy boys!! I just had to put it on here! haha!
Photobucket

After our trip into St. George we headed over to my Grandparent's for dinner... I forgot my camera! Can you believe that?! That's just crazy! But the boys basically did what they did the last time we were at their house, played in the dirt and on the tree swings, which meant a tubby for them when we got home!!

Photobucket

I included this picture mostly for Christtina... This is from last August! Look how much they have both changed!! Aww... They're growing up! :(
Photobucket

So on Sunday night around 10ish, we noticed we had a plumbing problem!! I love old houses but the problems that come with them can stink! It didn't help that I had a stomach ache, I never have stomach issues so why did I have to have them that night?! Christtina ended up having to take me to the gas station down the street @ 11pm!! What a pain! We found out late Monday night that there is about a 10ft section of pipe that hasn't been replaced. All the other piping has been, but this 10ft section hasn't and it has tree roots going through the pipes! In 3 different sections, it goes from a 4in diameter to 1in! So we're going to have to replace it! Thank heavens for being renters and not owners on this one!! Ü

So because our potty's didn't work we went into St. George to do some shopping on Monday...
After we picked up Maci from school the kids wanted to turn on the sprinkler. The boys wouldn't run through the water so Maci drove them through on Kernan's quad! These pictures are SO cute, Christtina snapped them with my camera while I was getting dinner heated up!
I love Trevor's little hands around Maci's waste!
Photobucket

Kernan's face in this one cRAckS me up!!
Photobucket

Cute cousins!
Photobucket

Later that night, the plumber was back over with his camera snake to see exactly what was blocking the "flow"! Kernan got his rain boots out and was walking around in them... Just his underwear and boots!
Photobucket

It made me think back to this picture!
He's 18 months old here, just his undershirt and boots... Only thing that's different is the underwear rather then the diaper and undershirt! Well I guess a few more teeth, and no boogies on his face! ha! Aww.. he's such a doll!! Ü
Photobucket

So on Tuesday we had a jam packed day!! I took Maci to school and the rest of us headed out to the lake! Shh... What happens while she's at school she'll never know!! hehe!

Love these pictures of Trevor, he is so dang cute!

OK, here is my favorite part of this blog post!! It almost deserves it's own post, but I won't embarrass Brian anymore than he already has himself! hahaha!!
He thinks that the reason he can't get enough "air" on the wake board off the back of our boat verses what he can get off my Uncle's boat is partly because of our rope! So he goes to Ace that morning and buys rope to make his own... He was so proud! I told him, it's not going to work! And he said, "Oh just you watch!"
So we get out to the lake and he pulls out his make-shift rope... He took our rope, cut it and tied it to the rope he bought at Ace then taped the rope where the knot was... He pulled it out SO proud!! And again, I said... "It's not going to work!" but he put it on and got in the water... So I pulled him up... All the sudden, he's almost out of the water and SNAP... That's right the rope BROKE!! Ü Oh I was laughing SO hard it's not even funny!!! I turned the boat around and went back to get my husband, laughing the entire way... I pull up to the side of him (still laughing) and just looked at him and PROUDLY said, "I TOLD YOU SO!" Aww, do you know how good that felt?! I was so excited I even posted it on my facebook... I said... I had one of those wonderful moments just now on the lake where you get to tell your husband "I told you so!" It was great, pictures to come! :) hahahaha
I got some GREAT comments on that status update!Photobucket

Here he is giving me the "look" for taking pictures! I was so right!! And it feels GOOD!
Photobucket

So after our exciting outing to the lake, we weren't done there!! We went and got Maci from school and headed up to Cedar to ride the quad and dirt bikes... We took Kernan's quad up there for the boys to have something to ride too! They were totally having their own little conversation while on their ride...The battery was dying after they had been riding it for awhile, so Trevor said "Battery dying, drive back to truck" So then Kernan said "OK, I drive back to truck" They're such a crack up together, I just love it!
I **love** this picture!
Photobucket

Kernan wanted to follow his Daddy, like a big boy!
Photobucket

Off they went!
Photobucket

Then they dumped the "fake" quad and wanted to go with their Daddy's! Doesn't he look tiny on that big dirt bike?!
Photobucket

Us girls (and Cole) watched! It was nice of Chris to capture some pictures of me! Look I was actually there!! Ü
Photobucket

I think my hubby looks so HOT in this picture!! Phil looks kinda funny, but sorry Phil! It's my blog and I can put up the pictures I want... hehe! Not that Phil looks at my blog, right Chris!?
Photobucket

Christtina caught them going up the jump! Sweet picture!!
Photobucket

Trevor was having so much fun riding the quad with his Dad!! I'm pretty sure that face says it ALL!
Photobucket

Maci was being such a stinker to Chris! She refused to smile in ANY picture Christtina tried to take of her!! Hince the "grumpy" picture we have here...
Photobucket

And then I came along behind Christtina and told her "not to laugh, don't do it!" And we got this!! She is so funny!
Photobucket

I love Trevor's "cheese" face!! He's a crack up!
These next few pictures I'm pretty proud of, I took them ONE handed because I was holding Cole!

Maci wanted to take a picture of me!! More proof that I was actually there!! Yay!!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Maci was going SO high!!
Photobucket

I **love** this picture!! Again, one handed! That's true talent!!
Photobucket

Maci got to ride Daddy's bike with him!
Photobucket

I even got them to stop and pose and smile!! It's a miracle! (Maci really is smiling behind the helmet, I promise!)
Photobucket

The boys had a good time playing in the huge tire... Their conversations are so funny to listen too!! We really should have got them on tape!
Photobucket

Oh.. Peek-a-boo Cole!!
Photobucket

This cracks me up!! Maci is totally posing on the top of the tire and the boys have no clue she's even up there!! haha!
Photobucket

Oh "Hello Maci!"
Photobucket

After we got home that night, this is what Cole did!! He seriously laid just like this, not moving a muscle for like 15 minutes before he finally closed his eyes and went to sleep!! Trevor was kissing him, my flash on my camera was going crazy and he didn't flinch!! It was the funniest thing!!
Photobucket

The next morning they headed to ID and then stopped to sleep at our house Sunday night before heading home Monday morning! We really enjoyed having them here!! I always love spending time with Christtina and of course my nephews!! Can't wait until they come up again!! Ü
Love you guys!!

Great post! Love allllll the pictures too. I'm glad that you and Christtina are so close, especially since she is an "in-law", I love her too! I am glad that you all had fun, cause then maybe Phil will come more often!! :) And yes, I love to be able to say, "I told you so" but that is because I get to say it so infrequently!!
