Did you notice what's missing from my blog?? Yep, the countdown to when we got to talk to Elder Peterson... That's because we got to yesterday!!! It was the highlight of our day! Once that call came and went, Christmas 2009 was complete!! Ü
It began by us getting to watch a video he had made for us... We got it in the mail on Wednesday with instructions to watch it Christmas morning before he called and that it was 37 minutes long, he was so organized! Ü So here we all are sitting around the computer to watch it! He answered questions we had emailed him and then we got to see "MTV's Cribs" (missionary edition) he showed us around his apartment, showed us his sweet ride! It was awesome!! We got to see him and talk to him all in one day!!
So then we headed to our traditional Christmas breakfast and hurried home for his call!

The phone rang at 11 am, and we said, "Let Kernan answer it!" By the time we got there no one was on the phone! We're not sure it was even Kolby, it only rang like 3 times! So Kernan very patently waited for it to ring again so that he could answer and talk to Kolby!
When it did ring, Kernan answered and talked to him! We were a bit worried he wouldn't want to, he's not much of a phone talker! But he did! It was so cute!! He said, "Kolby you come home now and see me?" and Kolby said, "I can't yet Bud, July 2011, K?!" and Kernan said, "Oh ya you have to do work, huh?" It was awesome!! I love them both!! Ü
I wish we would have snapped a picture of all of us at first! After Kernan was done talking to Kolby, I had the phone on speaker holding it up for everyone to hear... I was sitting on the floor in the middle of the living room and, no joke, everyone was standing around me!! It would have been a good picture!! Ü
But here is where we ended up, I was holding "Kolby" while we all talked to him, we all went through what we got for Christmas, what he got and what his plans were for the rest of the day... Oh and we went out in the garage and started the Camaro up for him, so that he could hear it! haha! It was a very fast hour and 14 minutes!!
Thankfully we have email on Monday!! I seriously don't know how everyone did it before email!! It's so nice to hear from him EVERY week around the same time!! It made it a lot easier to say "Goodbye" and "we'll email on Monday!"
He sounded SO happy and is really enjoying the work!! I'm so proud of my brother! And can't wait until May when we can talk to him again!!! Ü

Awww, I'm so happy for you! I love that last pic, you can really see the happiness in your face. Other things I love about the pic, are turtle (is he wearing a missionary outfit and nametag?) and the pepsi in your hand! <3
