The Story of Maci's Loose Tooth...

And trust me, it's a story!

One of Maci's big front teeth has been loose for like a month!  We've been trying to convince her to let us pull it out, we have tried EvErYtHiNg!  This is her 3rd tooth that's been loose, but her first one that we've actually known was loose!  The other two just fell out with no warning or suspense...

So we've had to convince her that pulling it out would not hurt!!  

One night last week, Brian got on YouTube to show her videos of kids pulling out their teeth to prove that it wouldn't hurt...  As they were looking at these videos, they found a couple of them where the kids had used a nerf gun to get their tooth out.  Brian just had to do it! Ü  Ya well, his daughter didn't think it looked like to much of a good idea!  So that was out!

Until she decided that maybe it would be fun to try, so one morning last week before school, her and Brian tried it...

So while she ponders on what she's gotten herself into, let's take a minute to check out her cute hair do that day... Ü


I love doing her hair!!  It's so fun to come up with new things to do!


Alright, back to the subject...  Off to shoot the dart down the hall!  Watch out, armed man!


Totally regretting her decision to go along with this!


Trying to convince her that it's NOT going to hurt...  I don't think she is buying it!


So her Dad just shot it off...  He just had to convince her to OPEN her mouth!!


Ya, that didn't work!  We assume it wasn't loose enough or something, and we were NOT going to get her to do it again!!

So Fast Forward to Today...  Her tooth is out, seriously...  It's hanging by just one little thread and it's DEAD!  It's totally black compared to her other teeth!  But she will NOT let us touch it!  So Brian and I formulated a plan for dinner... We made corn on the cob!
We know she loves it and would totally eat it and with as loose as her tooth is, it would FOR sure come out!
Isn't she so dang cute... Man we're in trouble!!

The plan... She grabbed two!  We thought for sure it would work!


WRONG!!
She's smarter then us!  She scrapped off the corn with her fork and ate it that way!!  Dang it!!  It didn't work!  So our last try for today was dessert, we had 6 layer cookies, and they're pretty chewy and sticky...  Didn't work!!
My Grandma kept asking her if she still had her tooth and she kept saying YES!  Darn it!!  We thought we were out of luck...
Well as Kernan was on the phone with my Mom having a very in depth cute conversation about this, that and everything! Ü  My Grandpa walks out of his room and says, I just punched Maci in the mouth and her tooth is out!  We didn't believe him...

But he was right!!!  He went into his room where she was watching tv, asked her if it had fallen out, she said, "No"
Grandpa said, "Here let me punch ya."
And he hit her in the mouth, lightly of course, he'd never actually punch her! Ü  And out it came!!
How dead was the tooth, so dead that it didn't even bleed!!  Crazy!
