This past weekend we were able to go camping with our ward... We had a lot of fun! Our Bishop owns some land out on the way up to Zion... It is beautiful and they've put some fun things up there for the kids!! We were the first ones there, except for the cows! Ü
I didn't get any pictures of the cows!! Once we got there Brian got out the remote control truck and scared them all away!!
The kids headed to the zip line! It totally reminded me of the movie "Split Infinity"! No one knew what movie I was talking about!! (Can you believe that Mom?! Doesn't it remind you of that movie?!)
See Kernan climbing up to the zip line?! He's wearing a blue shirt with red shorts and yellow shoes! What a fashion statement, huh?!
Here goes Daddy and Kernan down the zip line!
This picture cracks me up!! Love both the boy's faces, and Rusty was chasing after them trying to get them!!
Then Kernan and I went!
And Rusty got us too!! He totally bit my bootie... and legs!
This is Peytton... His family lives just down the road from us! Is his expression on his face not DANG cute?!
They have 6 kids, and all their kids LOVE our dogs, except the two youngest who seriously FREAK out whenever our dogs are close!! They like them from a distance but when they get to close, they freak!! Hopefully they'll get over it and love them too!
I just love this shot of Peytton with Rusty!
We had a wonderful devotional that night after dinner! This is Rich Monk, he's in the bishopric... He and a few other men in our ward spoke about what freedom means to them. One of the older men (I don't remember his name!) talked about how he felt just as strong for our country as he does our church! He had tears on his face and everything! It was so neat to see his love for our country!!
After the devotional it was time for s'mores!! Michelle was in charge of dinner and s'mores for the night! She did an amazing job!! We had sloppy joe's for dinner, they were SO yummy!! Michelle and I have become good friends, which is kinda funny, cuz she's old enough to be my Mom!! Ü I guess when you become adults age doesn't matter!! Right?! Love ya Michelle!!
All the kids around the fire! It was so warm that night that the fire was only there for light and s'more making!! haha!
Rich was making fun of my super duty camera so I snapped his picture!! That's what ya get when you dis my "baby"!!
Here is Kernan enjoying his S'more... and if the definition of enjoying is holding it for 20 minutes without taking a BITE then that is what Kernan did!! His Dad enjoyed it for him once he was tired of holding it!! Crazy kid!
Shortly after that he wanted to go to bed! He's funny, we tell him it's time for bed and if he's not ready he says "No, it not ten o'clock!" or when he's tired and ready for bed he'll say "Mom, it ten o'clock" haha!! Then when he wakes up in the morning he'll say "Mom, time to get up it ten thirty" I guess he only gets 30 mins of sleep a night!! haha!
Here are some of the views from our campsite... Some pretty scenery, huh?!
Kernan loved his sleeping bag, he said it was like "Bumblebee" (he's obsessed with Transformers! More on that in another post soon!)
Cute camping face!
I just love this kid!!
This toy was the highlight of all the kids that were camping with us! They thought it was so awesome!!
And here's the biggest kid of them all!! The driver of the toy!!
This was one of those swings that 4 people held on and ran and lifted their legs and around and around they go! The kids had a blast on this!
Maci and her friend Lily taking their turn down the zip line!
Then Brian and the kids went down together, and again, there is Rusty getting them!
Brekken and Maci...
We're going to need to keep a close eye on them! ;) They were going off on their own several times during this camping trip!! Brekken is Peytton's brother, the kids ride bikes to school and back everyday together! And Brekken just got moved into Maci's class at school!!
Isn't he a cutie?! Brekken with one of the MANY frogs they found!! Eww...
A close up of the frog! They seriously caught 20+ of these! This was the biggest, the others were "baby" frogs! So gross! They had fun with them though! Ü
Ok, here come's my infomercial! If you know me well, you know that Mosquitoes **LOVE** me!! I talked about it earlier in the summer when I posted pictures from our Yellowstone trip but seriously my entire life I've had to deal with the dumb insects!! Well I was at Walmart shortly after our trip to Yellowstone and spotted the "Bug Button". I bought a few just to keep on hand! That's how bad I get bit! Anyway, I remembered to grab them for our campout this weekend... By 5:30 I had my first bite!! So I went and got out the "Bug Button"s I had and pinned them to Maci, Kernan and myself. Don't worry Brian didn't need one, he watches them land on his arm and leave... He must have yucky blood! So anyway, Maci lost her's at some point of the evening and when I told her to go find it she didn't! She came home with several bug bites, I had the ONE I got before I put my "bug button" on and Kernan had NONE!! I even pinned it to our beds so we wouldn't get eaten at night! I'm seriously going to invest in many more!! You don't smell like bug spray and bug spray wears off and I still get bit! The "Bug Button" is AmaZiNg!! Alright, wish I were getting paid to say that but, I'm not! I just LOVE them so much!! Go try it for yourself!
**Only .99 at your local Walmart** Hurry though price only good while supplies last! Free shipping if you call in the next 30 mins!** I'm just messing with ya!! lol!! Ü
So that was our fun camp out!! Kernan has already asked me twice today if we're going camping yet... He had so much fun!! So I'm sure a couple more camping trips are going to be happening before winter!!
Hope you all had a great weekend!!

Um, Split Infinaty was like my favorite movie for ever! I wanted to be her and go back in time to show everyone I could play softball like the boys.
Looks like it was a fun camping trip.
Yeah, for you Heidi! It was a great movie, all of those in that series were! I seriously love that close up of Kernan! It makes me miss him like cRaZY! How much longer before you are here? It did look like a fun camping trip! Glad you went ;)
Oh my gosh, I LOVE Rich!!! So funny that he's in your Bishopric. This last year my house flooded twice and Rich was the guy who took care of it. He's such a sweetheart. You'll have to tell him HI for me. :D Glad you had a fun time at the campout. Sounds like you guys were the life of the party. My kids (well actually Hunter) totally did the frog-catching thing at our ward campout. And I'm sold on the bug button, I HATE mosquito bites. I'm gonna have to stock up and buy my own.
that zip line looks soooo fun and I'm glad the bug button worked for you!
Bug Button - awesome, you usually are eaten alive. At first I wasn't sure if Maci even went, but I saw a few pix of her. It looks like you had so much fun. It makes me want to go camping, especially with a zip line. We used to do that as kids, rocks!! Later Gator
Great pictures! I am excited to see more of your talented stuff on line!
I can't believe how big your kids are! It's been two years and just amazing how cute they are!
