Christmas Day... 2009

Our Christmas Day was a lot of fun...  The highlight obviously being our phone call with Elder Peterson!!  But the rest of the day was good as well!
We always start off by reading the story of Jesus' birth in Luke...  It's important to remember the real reason we're celebrating Christmas.

After we've read that it's off to see what Santa brought us, here are the 4 kids sitting on the stairs waiting to be "released"! Ü

The three older ones ran off faster then I could snap, so I just got the little guy running to see...

Here's the "loot" before the kids got into it!  The kids scored big!

Here's our whole families loot...  Notice my heated blanket?!  I complained to Brian every time we'd get in bed about it being cold, so now I go in and turn it on just before I get in bed and it's perfect!!  It's awesome!  The best part, Brian even said today that it makes a difference!  hahaha!!

Mom and I got these for the kids!  We set them out with Santa's stuff instead of wrapping them!  Plus Maci had seen them and knew she was getting them, so it would have been a complete waste of paper!  Only down side, Mom should have bought each of her kids one...  But oh well!

Maci got her guitar she wanted!!  My favorite was the Taylor Swift guitar picks she got in her stocking, they're awesome!!  To bad she has NOT A CLUE as to what she's doing! haha!
Photobucket

Kernan got his "choo choo" and "choo choo" tracks he asked for!
Photobucket

Bumblebee Soap!  I love his face in this picture!
Photobucket

Grandma got Maci a BLUE camera!!  She used it so much that morning the batteries were dead by noon!  Here I took a picture of her taking a picture of me...
Photobucket

See there I am! Ü

Grandma also got Kernan his "Bumblebee Racetrack" he wanted!!  He knew what it was before he even tore the paper!!  notice the tongue?!
Photobucket

He was getting Grandpa, I'm not sure why though...
Photobucket

Turtle got a present from Mom and Kernan, Kernan helped him open it...  He got his own missionary outfit, just like Kolby!!  Doesn't Turtle look sharp?!
Photobucket

We headed off to our annual IHOP breakfast earlier then we normally do... We had a very important phone call to be home for at 11am!!  So we got an early start!

Brian and I were at breakfast too, promise!!  We can't prove it, but we were!! lol

When we got home Kernan wanted to set up his "Bumblebee Racetrack"...
Photobucket

He is a one of a kind boy...  He always has to look at the instructions!  He loves to put things together and figure out how things work!!  But unlike most men, he reads the instructions!
Photobucket

After our wonderful phone call...  Brian and Stockton pulled out the Transformer Wii game that was in Brian's stocking...
Photobucket

Kernan has to think he's playing along or he gets ticked so here he is holding the extra remote "playing" with Grandpa! Ü Or so he thinks he's playing, hehe!
Photobucket

BUMBLEBEE...  I would say the reviews for this game are good, they played it a lot!

Later in the afternoon we headed over to Brian's family to open presents and eat dinner...  Trevor fell asleep in the car and the other kids were ready to open presents so we tried to wake him up... You can see how that went!  Brian is reacting to some play on the basketball game, I thought it was a hilarious facial expression!!  Love you Handsome! Ü

Kernan went over to help wake up Trevor... He said, "Trevor wake up, Kernan's here!"  It didn't work!
But once he was awake he was excited to see him!  I love these boys!!
Photobucket

He was also happy to see Maci!
Photobucket

Maci and Emilee had all the presents put into piles for who they were for... Made it a lot easier when we all sat down to open them I have to say!!  Good job girls!
Photobucket

I am amazed at how much Cole changes every time we see him!  It had only been 2 months but he looks completely different then when we saw him in October!  It's so sad how fast they grow up!  He was being adorable (as always) so I had fun snapping some cute pictures of him!

Poppy gave Kernan a quick ride in the wheel barrow he got him!  Poppy was excited for Kernan to get it, and Kernan was excited too!

Kernan and Trevor got sweet Lightening McQueen camping chairs!!  Trevor still wasn't really awake, he wasn't into presents much...

Aunt Chrissy (and fam) got Kernan some Bumblebee slippers!! He was super excited, and he LOVES them!
Photobucket

Maci and Kernan were SO into opening presents, they opened Coles for him and then Kernan offered to help open Trevor's too! It was cute, they helped each other!
Photobucket

Once we opened presents, we headed back home to open the rest of the presents that were under the tree!  Kernan didn't get a nap and had had a busy day, so he fell asleep on the way back...  He woke up when we took him in the house, but it didn't last long!  He fell asleep in the middle of the front room and slept through the rest of the presents being opened, I accidentally kicked him in the head, Jaxin dropped a box on his head, and we were all a bit loud!  All the boxes my Dad opened that had new work shirts in them we'd ALL say "OH, AW, Very Nice" Ü  He slept through it all!!
Photobucket

Notice what's funny in this picture?  Besides Jaxin's funny face she's making...
Photobucket

Yep, that's Kernan!  Sacked out on the floor in the middle of the mayhem!

Alrighty, well that was our Christmas Day!  We had a good one!  Although it wasn't the end of our Christmas...  We still had presents here at home that we didn't take to AZ to open!!  We sure drug it out this year!!

Kernan knocked out in the living room is soo funny. I could help but LOL when I saw the picture of Cole. Awesome! I saw you Dad in church today, I was stressed, he made me feel lots better. It's so hard going with these two boys. Jaxin and Stockton both have awesome hair. Glad you came for Christmas!
