What a Camping Trip!

We went camping this weekend with Jeremiah and Heidi, Shane and Shanna and Dave and his family (he works with Brian). We got up to the camp ground at around 9:30 on Friday night and set up our tent and went to bed! Dave was supposed be arriving at midnight but got lost and didn't get there until 4:30am! So we spent Saturday just hanging out riding quads and waiting for Shane and Shanna.... They didn't get there until 2:30 in the afternoon because they got lost also! Once they got there it started to rain....

Now... we are camping in the woods!!! No cell phones, no tv, no internet.... But these three boys had to bring the xbox 360! All three piled into my suburban playing xbox! Camping huh?!?

The easiest way to put a baby down for a nap, a quad ride around camp!

So after dinner on Saturday night it started POURING! It was about 7:00 and we all made a run for our tents! Well our tent was leaking... not terrible but we would have been dripped on all night and Maci and Rusty would have been floating by morning!! So we moved our stuff to the Suburban! We all slept in that!! It was terrible!! That was the longest night of all of our lives!!! Plus we camped away from the bathroom so the only way to get to them was by quad or car! That sucked as well! So it didn't rain all night but as soon as the sun came up and we were ready to take down camp and go home... it started again!! So we were all out there taking it down in the rain! We pulled out of camp at 10 and went to Payson to get something to eat and learned that the highway down to Phoenix was closed! So we had to go the long way and take the I-17 well about 15 miles away from our exit we STOPPED and it took us 2.5 hours to make to our exit!! Due to another accident on the freeway! We were going to go home and shower before heading over to Brian's Mom and Dad's for his Dad's birthday dinner... Well instead we had to go there stinky! Sorry guys! It took us 7 hours to get home!!!! Oh and let me mention... I didn't want to go camping at all! So I think next time I say I don't really feel like going camping right now, Brian is going to listen to me! :)

It's all about Kernan....

As I was uploading the pictures for this post I realized that it is all about Kernan today! Oh well! He's cute! :)

OK to start off:

FINALLY! HE HAS HIS FIRST TOOTH!!!

Yesterday Kernan turned 17 months old and his first tooth officially broke through the gum! He beat out his sister by a month!! Maci was 18 months old before her first tooth! So he is no longer a gummy! :) It's his top one that came in first.... He is going to look so funny when he has a mouth full of teeth!!

Next: He is fascinated with our new fish tank! If there is a chair pulled up to it, he is on it just pointing and chatting away! Anyone that comes over he has to show them the tank! Every time Natalie walks in he has to show her! And anyone else for that matter!

This shirt explains a lot! He has had such a bad temper lately! But you can see where the "trouble" in him comes from: (see next picture)Here is his Dad! Trouble! Brian likes to practice his cast with his kids fishing poles in my house! Well last night he had a genius idea to tie Kernan's Binky onto the end and play with him... It worked! Kernan fell for it "hook, line and sinker"!
Here he is being pulled in by his Dad... isn't he the cutest fish you ever saw?!?Brian loves this picture because you can see Kernan holding on to the Binky for dear life! Fishing pole bent and everything! Silly boys!

Rascal Flatts...

I am tired this morning! But last night was SO worth it! Brian, Kolby, my Mom and I went to the Rascal Flatts concert at the Cricket Pavilion! It was so fun! These guys not only rock live! But they are so funny! They cracked some pretty good jokes last night!
Here is Joe Don rocking out on his guitar! You don't normally hear the other two guys sing besides in the background but they have VERY good voices as well! It was also Joe Don's birthday last night!

Brian and I would like to dedicate this video to Jeremiah and Heidi.. They didn't have such a good night so we recorded this hoping it would make them smile! Love you guys! Glad Stat is OK!
PS- Only you two will get this... Brian leaned over when they started playing this and said "This is Jer and Heidi's song"! Grrr! What's ours again?? :) Hahaha!

After listening to this video... the people around us don't have the best voices!! Sorry!

Where were you when the world stopped turning?

I just wanted to take a moment to honor all the people that were effected by what happened 6 years ago! My family wasn't personally effected by it but the entire country was! I'll never forget where I was! I had just gotten in my car from early morning semionary (a church class) and was on my way to school when I heard it over the radio. I didn't really grasp it until I walked into my first class and saw it on the news! I'll never forget that day and just wanted to take a moment from my busy day today to reflect on it! We should all kiss our loved ones tonight! You never know! Feel free to leave a comment and tell me where you were and how you remember hearing about it! I love to hear everyones stories from big events like this! Hope you have a great day!

Where were you when the world stopped turning...

What a Saturday!

I didn't think yesterday was ever going to end!

I took this picture of Kernan yesterday morning isn't it cute?! I love this shirt!

It started for both of us at 10:00am. I had a vinyl party for a friend of mine and Brian got a call from his Mom that we could have a 55gl saltwater fish tank with live rock, fish and an eel! So off I went and off he went and our kids went to my Mom. (Thanks Mom!) When my show was over I went to the house where the tanks were to help! Oh my goodness! There was a ton of stuff! We didn't leave there until 4:30pm! There were two fishtanks with TONS of live rock! (We have a ton if you know of someone who wants some!) So then we brought it home and had to transfer our fish we already had and put the tank all back together... We weren't done until 12:30am!! But it's beautiful! We unfortunately had 6 fish die in the process, that was sad! Thank you Christtina, Phil, Lisa and Paul for all your help! We would still be working on it if it were just us!! We really appreciate it! Then Jeremiah had come down so he and Brian could play his xbox 360 so they stayed up until 4:00am! What a weekend!

Here he is... he is a Zebra eel... Kinda gross and kinda cool at the same time! As long as I don't have to touch him or feed him! :)

The semi-finished product! We aren't sure exactly how the bottom filter is hooked up so we have a fish guy coming out tomorrow afternoon to help us and to tell us how to take care of everything! We have 5 "Nemo" fish, two are "mated" so we could get baby Nemo's! We have a yellow and orange fish... I don't know what kind they are. The Zebra eel and 4 or 5 anemones. It is so pretty! I'm so excited!!

Now Brian, Jer and Nate are going to the lake tonight to go fishing and wakeboarding in the morning. Here is Maci helping her Daddy this morning cut up the anchovies he's taking tonight for bait! Eww! I stayed in the house.... Gross!

Low Key Weekend

We haven't had a weekend like this in forever! We are usually camping or in California or Utah on 3 day weekends, so it was weird to be home and have no plans! Friday Maci had her first sleep over at a friends house! She's slept over at Grandma's and Nonna's but not at a friends! She got to sleep over at Tatum's house for Tatum's birthday. We all went out to eat at Echaban (sp?) it's in Avondale, they cook your meal right in front of you. Brian and I had only been to a place like this once when we were dating. So Maci and Kernan were loving it! When the guy put the fire on the grill they were all eyes! It was such a fun time! Joanna and her family are so fun to hang out with!!

Rylee was scared of the fire, she did the one eye looking while the other eye is covered! So cute! I swear it helps, that's what I do in scary movies!!The GIRLS... They get along really well and they argue really well... That's girls for ya!

Maci of course did fine at Tatum's not like me, I cried at about 10:00pm wanting my Mom so she would have to come get me... :) Not Maci! She was fine!
So Saturday was just a laid back day and of course Sunday's are always relaxing, getting to go to church and feel the spirit. I love Sundays! Monday Brian and Kolby went out riding the dirt bike and quad. So Maci, Jaxin and I went and saw "Hairspray"! It is such a good movie! I can't wait to buy it! I'm such a musical person and so is Maci! She watches High School Musical 2 EVERYDAY!! I think that helped with why she liked Hairspray so much Zac Efron! He is a very good actor and such a cutie! Maci saw him on the screen and got so excited... "Mom there's Troy!!" It's so fun having a girl! Just a great laid back, low key weekend! Kinda nice! Hope you all had a great Labor Day Weekend!
